The troupe was set up in 1984 . Most of the performers and musicians
have graduated from the Peking Opera Department of the Tianjin Traditional
Opera School . Now it ahs 14 national first grade performers and musicians
. The troupe contains all of the roles of the Peking Opera . In the past
10 years ,their reputation has spread all over the country .They have
been invited to perform in HongKong, Macao , Taiwan province , Japan ,
Thailand , Singapore , Latin America and other countries and regions .
The performances caused a great sensation . Since the founding of the
troupe, many people have attached great importance to it , especially
the ex - mayor , LiRuihuan , who showed profound concern for the troupe
, and gave specific aid to it . The troupe successively invited ZhangJunqiu
, WuSuqiu , YuanShihai , YeShenglan , Guan Sushuang, LiShiji ,MeiBaojiu
and other famous artists to teach the skills . The troupe has fostered
a lot of talented people , among them : WangLijun , MengGuanglu , LanWenyun
,ZhangKe , ZhaoXiujun , LiPeihong , LiuGuijuan , ShiXiaolian , LiuShuyun
, DongYujie and other outstanding performers . Since the beginning they
have won awards at the national and local tournaments and competitions
many times . The superb art of the Peking Opera of Tianjin has been praised
at home and abroad .
