Tianjin is an economic center in the Bohai Rim and a city of stratigic
importance in northern China. Its hinterland covers a vast area of more
than 5 million sq.km in northern China. It hosts frequent national and
regional commodity and maerial exchanges and trade activities, and a large
number of trade and commodity fairs, expositions and exhibitions hold
considerable influence nationwide. Tianjin is becoming the commercial
and trading center in northern China.
Tianjin produces a variety of well-known brands recognized nationally,
ranging from machinery and electronics to garments and household appliances.
These products occupy a considerable share of the domestic market, especially
in the north, northeast, northwest and southwest. A population of almost
10 million constitutes an enormous consumer force and market potential.
